How much does it cost to build custom software with EncodeDots?

It depends on what you're building, but here's a rough idea. Small MVPs usually start around $15K. A full product with an admin panel, payments and a few integrations tends to land somewhere between $40K and $80K. Enterprise work goes well past that. We won't quote a number off a two-line brief, though. Get on a quick call, walk us through the idea, and we'll come back with an idea for an estimate within 2 Working days.

How long will it take to get my product live?

Most MVPs take somewhere around 6 to 8 weeks. Bigger products? Closer to 12 or 18 weeks, sometimes more. The part people underestimate is the first two weeks. That's when we sit with you and trim the feature list (it's always too long at the start). After that we build in two-week sprints, and you get a demo at the end of each one. What usually slows a project down isn't the code. It's scope that keeps growing. So new ideas go on a "version two" list, and the build keeps moving.

Will I own the source code and IP?

Yes. All of it. We sign the NDA before you send us anything, and the contract gives you full rights to the code, designs and documentation. The repository is set up under your account from day one, not ours. Want to bring development in-house a year from now? That's fine. We'll document everything properly and walk your team through it. You're never stuck with us.

Which engagement models do you offer, and can I scale the team up or down?

There are three options, and the right one depends on how settled your plan is. If the scope is clear and won't shift much, go with fixed price. If you're running a live product where priorities change every couple of weeks, a dedicated team makes more sense. Time and material sits in between. Plenty of clients mix them: fixed price for the MVP, then a dedicated team once real users start asking for things. Adding developers takes us a week or two. For scaling down, we just ask for 30 days' notice.

How do you add AI to our existing product without disrupting what already works?

We don't start with the model. We start with a boring question: where is your team losing hours every week? Sometimes it's support tickets. Sometimes it's someone copying data from PDFs into a spreadsheet. Once we find that spot, we build a small proof of concept on your actual data, usually in about a month. If it doesn't work, you've spent very little to find out. If it does, we plug it into the systems you already use, so nobody has to learn a new tool. And your data stays yours. It's never used to train anyone's public model.
